Rev., Mr. Albert Feliu – Deacon

 

Deacon Albert Linus Feliu has been assigned as an ordained deacon in the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church serving the parish community of St. Marguerite D’Youville church since June 2010. Previously, Deacon Albert was assigned to St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church in Snellville Georgia which was his first diaconate assignment after being ordained in the Archdiocese of Atlanta on February 4, 2006 by Archbishop Wilton Gregory. Albert was a member of the diaconate class of 2006 that was also the inaugural class of permanent deacons for Archbishop Gregory. Deacon Albert has been married to his wife Cindy for 34 years and is the father of a grown daughter, Christina Catherine, and a grown son Michael Albert. Called to the permanent diaconate formation process in March of the Year 2000, he formally entered into the Archdiocesan Permanent Diaconate formation program in February 2001 and was part of the first five-year formation program for the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Deacon Albert enjoys serving in a number of ministries, especially within the sacramental preparation process for both Marriage and Baptism. He is also a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. Born in Brooklyn New York in August 1960 and later raised in Trumbull Connecticut, he is the son of Leopoldo Justo and Francoise Marie Feliu (both deceased) and is the identical twin brother of Robert and the younger brother of Leopold Junior and Elina. He is also a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy- Colorado Springs Colorado and serve as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force Security Police both in the United States (1984-1985) and later in the United Kingdom-North Atlantic Treaty organization (NATO) from 1986 through 1989. Currently he works as a technical project manager for a technology firm in the Atlanta Metro area.
