High School Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry program serves high school students in grades 9–12 and is dedicated to forming young disciples of Jesus Christ. Following the vision of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), the program seeks to help teens grow in a personal relationship with Christ, participate fully in the life of the Church, and become missionary disciples who witness to the Gospel in their daily lives.
Through Sacred Scripture, prayer, engaging discussions, small groups, retreats, and Catholic media, our youth deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith while building lasting friendships rooted in Christ. Youth Ministry provides a welcoming community where teens are encouraged to ask questions, strengthen their faith, and discover how God is calling them to holiness.
Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is an integral part of our program. Confirmation is presented not as the completion of faith formation, but as a strengthening by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, equipping young people to live their Catholic faith with courage, joy, and conviction throughout their lives.
Service is a cornerstone of Youth Ministry. Teens are invited to discover their God-given gifts through meaningful service to the parish, the local community, and those most in need. By participating in acts of charity, parish ministries, mission opportunities, and outreach, they learn that Christian discipleship is expressed through love of God and service to others. Our goal is to help every young person develop a lifelong commitment to prayer, worship, service, and active participation in the mission of the Church.
NOTE: The Sacrament of Confirmation is limited to the high school student who has completed a full year of youth ministry (usually 9th grade) and is in 10th grade or higher.
