St. Vincent de Paul Society
Our Mission: Respecting the dignity of each person, St. Vincent de Paul Georgia brings hope and help to those in need so they may achieve stability and move toward self-sufficiency. The three essential elements of Vincentians are Growing in Spirituality, Friendship, and Service. No work is foreign to the Society. It includes any form of help that alleviates suffering or deprivation and promotes human dignity and personal integrity in all their dimensions. (Rule 1:1.3)
Our St. Marguerite Conference may help financially those who have lost jobs, out of work, relocating, experiencing health problems and difficulties for single mothers, etc. We serve those in our 30044 area. We also have a food pantry. Our pantry is available once a month for those needing help with food and frozen meat.
Our entire parish gets involved with our Annual Thanksgiving and Christmas Programs. This will be our 17th year! We occasionally have food drives to fill our pantry shelves and fund raisers which enable us to help more people. And, of course, our caseworkers see those requesting special needs on a daily or weekly basis.
We invite all parishioners to experience the JOY of helping others by becoming a St. Vincent de Paul member. Many are needed in the mission to help the poor and marginalized.
